For my birthday last Sunday Allan took me to see the play Wicked. It was so good. I fell in love with the song “Popular” in the movie theater. The song actually reminded me of my sister and I had to find out more about it. So after the song ended I heard them say it was from this play based on a book. I went to the store bought the book read it and that was it. For my b-day last year my mom bought me the soundtrack to the play and I could follow what was happening. I listen to that cd everyday at work and hum along! It is so great now to have the character faces to go along with music. I really had a great time at the play and a great birthday
Today Allan and I have been together as a couple for 18 years. Seems hard to believe really. I still remember it as though it were yesterday. I even still feel like that silly 16 year old girl most days!
Allan I just want you to know that I love you more everyday and I am proud to be your better half
I hope you all are have a great holiday season. Emily is still too young to realize what is going on. I can’t wait for next year when she can open her own gifts and get excited. I’ve been busy being a mom and working, that’s why I don’t post a lot anymore. There is no better gift in this world than being a parent, and I enjoy every minute of it.
We send our love to you all

May you all be written in the book of life for the coming year
Emily had her 2 month doctor visit today. She’s in perfect health. In the 50th percentile for weight and 60th percentile for height.
She took her shots like a champ. 3 in the legs and one oral. She cried during the shots, then I picked her up and she fell asleep.
Been doing really well all day too.
Not my vacation, but my brother and his family.
My brother and his family came to visit from Japan from the middle of July until the end. It was a very busy 2 weeks. Not only that, the week before they got here Allan moved us into our room and the computer wasn’t hooked up.
It seems the 2 weeks my bro was here all we did was EAT, EAT and did I mention EAT? It was really great to see them though. I am so in love with my sister-in-law. She is the cutest lady. And my nephew Anthony, my gosh he was such a pleasure.
One afternoon my brother got falafel for lunch and asked Anthony to try it. Anthony took a little crumb and said no. Scott said he’d give him $5 if he ate it and Anthony said no. So I said I’d give him $20 if he ate it. First he said no, then thought on it for about 10 minutes. He then proceeded to eat about 3/4 of a falafel and choked and drank tea, but he got his $20
It was really great to see them and we all had such a great time.
I started back to work this week at Blue Cross of California. I got my old job with my old boss and everything!
It was tough to leave Emily home, but I know she’s in great hands! It made it less stressful that I at least knew people that I would be working with instead of starting somewhere totally new! I really do like my job so that also helped!
Going back to work wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be and I survived the first week.
